Adiely Figueredo Ortega
I never et out to be a poet. Writing found me when I needed it most — in moments between grief and healing, when spoken words failed but written ones flowed. What began as a personal reflection on my Facebook page "Del Amor y sus Huellas" (Love And Its Traces) blossomed into something I never expected: a community of readers who found themselves reflected in my words.

My Journey With Words
My debut collection, "Contada en Poemas: La Vida," weaves together sixty poems and nine mini-stories exploring the landscapes of emotion I've traveled — from the profound joy of motherhood to the disorienting terrain of loss and the quiet triumph of self-discovery.
The Heart Behind My Words
My relationship with writing transformed during a period when I found myself drowning in tears. Poetry became not just expression but salvation — a way to process emotion and, eventually, to connect with others walking similar paths.
I believe in emotional honesty. Life is beautifully complex, and I try to honor that in my work. I write about love without idealization, grief without despair, and self-discovery as an ongoing journey rather than a destination we reach once and forever.

When I'm not writing, I dedicate time to my family and to engaging with the wonderful community that has grown around my work. I continue sharing new poems and reflections through social media, creating spaces where vulnerability becomes strength and our personal stories build collective wisdom.
I live with my family, including my daughter who remains my greatest muse and my motivation for continuing to explore the depths of human experience through words.
